Black is a rare Russian heirloom tomato that has a bushy, sprawling growth habit and produces medium sized, 4-8 ounce fruit that ripen to a deep burgundy-black color. The fruit shape varies with some being smooth and being deeply ribbed, but all have a fantastic rich and smoky flavor profile. This is a connoisseur tomato and one of the best black tomato varieties.
